As another year comes to a close, I want to thank each and every one of you for a great year, and I hope your New year is full joy and happiness!
This last year at Intuitve Touch Massage has been a busy one…
I have moved rooms (same location), went under a bathroom remodel (goodbye throne), struggled and faced some strong insurance and billing challenges (big bully insurance), and incorporated some great new tools to add to our work together; Tok Sen, Biomechenics, and MET Balanceing for the Lumbar and Sacrum. It has been such a treat to see how the work we do, can and does improve your daily lives.
Heading into 2018, its a time for new, or re-invented goals about your well being and quality of life. It’s time to renew your vow to yourself that you matter, that your health and wellness matters. If I can help you by being a part of that, please allow me to! Some goals I encourage you to incorporate that impact your massage life:
Drink more water. Water helps be the stream to flush out toxins in your body as well as hydrate and moisturize during this dry season.
Get good sleep. These darker days are here to help us clock in good sleep! Even though a 60 minute massage is equivalent to 8 hours of rest recovery, your body needs sleep to restore itself. The rest will also help your massage not be so intense.
Move. If I suggested or recommended some self help exercises, try to make a routine and bring them back! Move your joints, go for a walk. Take time to stretch it out! Moving is another transit system that will support the detox of buildup from say holiday eating, and toxic waste from our daily lives. Toxic waste that intensifies our pain levels. Remember that experiencing a little discomfort from gently moving, is ok and beneficial for the greater good, to removing that toxic waste and buildup.
Get massage. I, as your greatest advocate for how massage benefits you, cannot say all this mumbo-jumbo, without pressing on the importance of getting work done when you need it. I challange you this next year of 2018, to be a better listener to your body, to respond by booking your appointment at the time that you need it. To aligning your priorities to make this important (as much as your life allows). Being attentive and aware, is only going to have a positive spiral affect on your life. Instead of doing big spring cleanings, you will be wiping up a spill. Now doesn’t that sound about perfect?
